Hand-build a Darted Cup

Sculpt and decorate your own clay cup! Using a hand-building technique called darting, students will learn how to remove clay from a slab and fold the edges to form the base of their cup - creating an interesting shape that can be applied to other ceramic projects. After shaping the cup, students will finish it by applying a colorful glaze of their choice, making the cup both functional and food safe. All materials provided, just bring your creativity! This is a two-day workshop and attendance is required for both. The first day focuses on building the cup, and the second day is dedicated to glazing. Finished pieces will be available for pick-up a few weeks after the workshop.
